I already liked the design from when I saw the adverts, and although they were out of stock, it was put on pre-order for the next batch. The thing that stood out to me was the fact that someone had complained about the inside pocket flopping over, not a big deal, but something they thought should be addressed; well, what do you know, they listened and when I received my order, they had modified the inside to include a press-stud button (or something like that) to keep it in place. Kudos for listening and modifying.

It's a quality product that is hard to find these days. I reckon it will last me my lifetime and probably will be loved by my son one day.

One of the best made pieces of kit I’ve bought in 40 years. The attention to detail and workmanship is well executed. This is the second item we’ve bought, the first was a poncho which is perfect for around the fire with a Bundy. Great stuff and thank you.

I previously left a review for the older iteration of this bag, with a lower rating, noting the previous magnetic clips would always become upclipped and did not offer a secure enough closing mechanism for the bag.

I'm happy to report that after receiving the new version of the bag and using it for ~6 months, this is now a 5-star bag and my go-to general day bag. The one major problem I had with it has been fully resolved, and the new press-button clips are heavy duty and work great. They've even solved a potential issue of wear and tear on the clip buttons by adding additional canvas straps for them to clip to, rather than the studs being directly on the bag itself - something that would have added to the cost of production but is a great design choice.

Everything else about the bag is still great - it's bigger than it looks while still offering a small and comfortable profile when wearing it. It looks great and is sturdy and made of high quality materials. I used it very frequently on an overseas holiday for day trips, it was a lot easier than carring around a backpack.

I can't recommend this bag highly enough!

Am so pleased to get this. It is so comfortable to wear along with the T brace if needed. Colour inside is helpful to find items and the sizing of the satchel is great also. A quality well made product.

Well made and sturdy. My only criticism is the magnetic clips, because I ride and it is to replace my 20yr old dilly bag. It would benefit from a sturdy closure.

Like all the other Jack Stillman products this is another example of great quality and good looking gear that will only get better with time. I wear this not just for the practicality but for the style and the feeling it gives me having such a good quality item. Jack's Stillman is an example of a modern business that can succeed and grow with quality gear at an appropriate value point and still maintain ethical work and business practices well done to all the team.

So much better than I expected!
To me it always seems like a bit of a gamble , ordering things online. I much prefer being able to physically handle things, to feel their weight, texture and quality.
On receiving this bag, it was immediately obvious it was well made to a very high standard.
The weight of the canvas, the muted khaki colour even the smell was perfect.
It’s a treasure, like something from the 40s that’s been wrapped in waxed paper and left for me to discover.
